Playing Career
Bob Pulford came to the Maple Leafs directly from the Toronto Marlboro's
Junior team. He was consistently in around the twenty goal mark for each
of his fourteen years with the Leafs. In 1965-66 season, he scored 56
points which included a career high of 28 goals.
Even though Pulford was a consistent two way player, he was never selected
to the All-Star team.
The switch to separate penalty boxes was made after a fight between
Canadien's Terry Harper and Pulford in a game on October 30th, 1963,
after the fight continued once the players were placed in the penalty
box.
Bob Pulford was traded to the Los Angeles Kings on September 3rd, 1970.
A year later, Pulford became the King's coach. He later continued his
coaching career with the Chicago Black Hawks and became their General
Manager.
As of May 02, 1997 as noted in the Toronto Star "Where are they now ... the 1966-67 Maple Leafs", Bob Pulford is vice president of the Chicago Black Hawks.
